| Regatta
Information |
|
| Bass Week is a family
regatta held during the first week in August each year.
The excellent on-site facilities make it a venue that
many people return to year after year. Social functions
are arranged each day (for those sailors with spare
energy) ranging from a gentle quiz (the competitive
spirit continues) to discos, barn dances or ceilidhs,
barbeques, live entertainers.... Also, there is a
chandler on site to keep you afloat, and a drying tent
for those wet bits. Caterers provide meals throughout the
day from breakfast time. Of course, there's the bar to
keep you hydrated! |

Racing is organised for Flying Fifteens, Lasers,
Enterprises, GP14s, Mirrors, and there are slow, medium
and fast handicap fleets - Phew! Racing is organised
daily with short series being held over each weekend and
on the Wednesday; other races are stand alone and include
two pursuits. Friday afternoon is taken over by junior (under
19), ladies and over 60s racing with prizes being
sponsored by our chandler. All in all a hectic week, but you're able to take part or opt out as you please - If you want to spend a day in Keswick, or mountain biking through the forests so be it, but you are certain to enjoy yourself! A 360° view of Bass Week 2003 For further
